Research into the Indonesian and Indo culture in the Netherlands is very urgent and topical. The first generation is rapidly disappearing. Because of the desire to put the past to rest, the story has never been passed on to later generations. Only in recent years has the younger generation felt the urge to seek answers to the question: what is my true heritage?

These people have their roots in a country that doesn’t exist anymore. It’s a heritage that cannot be visited.
